I know of a young man who works at Sak's, but is trying to get a job at Chrysler. What is the long-term viability of either enterprise? We live in an age when every job is threatened by technology, from the local pizza parlor to Wall Street. We live in an age of anxiety. Even though the economy is improving at a good clip, it all feels so fragile. We're starting to lose all the elements for a full life. Something might replace it, but who knows what that will be.
