Social Media Promotion Ends PDF Print E-mail

CarMax Inc. concluded its "Tweet Yourself to a New Ride" contest on the social networking site Twitter. The grand prize winner of $25,000 from CarMax is Stephanie Beck from Pensacola, Fla.

During the eight weeks of the contest, participants were encouraged to visit http://www.carmax.com/tweet to find the specific phrase to tweet. In addition to the grand prize, CarMax awarded gas cards valued at $250 each to eight separate randomly selected entries.

"The CarMax Twitter contest was a great way to connect with thousands of consumers while promoting our brand and sharing our story with car shoppers nationwide," said Joe Kunkel, senior vice president of marketing and strategy. "We congratulate Stephanie for winning and thank everyone who participated in this innovative contest."

"I was so excited to win the grand prize that my husband had to remind me to breathe," said Beck. "The CarMax Twitter contest was so easy and fun. I can hardly wait for my CarMax shopping trip. I'm a fan for life!"
